It is a great encore, but I sometimes feel they are less known Pogues songs and they may be better in the main set. If half the crowd don't know a song (Auld Triangle) people feel a bit left out.

Id like to hear auld triangle live for the first time having never heard it before. Putting auld triangle in the encore pleases more people than it dissapoints.

The band can piss next to a microphone and call it a song. I'll enjoy every second of it whether it's main set, first or second encore. I'm honored to see such legends.

Any reason why Waxie's Dargle was dropped since the Christmas shows?

Most of the Bloodhound Gang´s success is based upon that.

It didn't survive long on that tour, it was quite quickly replaced by "Poor Paddy", though I can't remember why now.

Just combine the facts that a) a Pogues concert is Heaven and b) according to Monty Python "in Heaven every day is christmas day" and you´ll find that Fairytale of New York will work any day of the year. :D

Did someone say they played The Auld Triangle? If so, how was it?

What about Worms?

Seems cool. A few different songs from last year. i don't mind a break from Fairytale.

The Auld Triangle was played slowly and reverently Monday evening... until Shane added a choice adjective before every word for the last line.

No Worms. Andrew stepped up and the surprise was Star of the County Down.
