This was the first time I have seen the Pogues live and I must admit after seeing Shane on Skinner, I was a bit worried whether I would have been better spending my 30 quid on burgers and beer - turned out to be the best 30 quid I have ever spent!

I had also been to see Elton John (3/10) and The Darkness (10/10) at the Arena in the past few weeks... - this one came in at 11/10!

Took my mum (70) and dad (84) - being a native paddy my mum loved every minute and my dad reckons its the first time he has been able to hear in 15 years! I just hope Shane the genius is still about for the next tour - wouldn't be the same without him - long live Shane & The Pogues!

Fantastic show. Never seen the guys before although I've been an avid fan for many years. I half expected Shane not to show but boy did he. In terms of technical merit, I'd only give 7 to 8 out of 10; for artistic impression I'd give 9; for sheer bloody enjoyment not experienced for many a long gig, 11 out of 10 or more. Well worth travelling 120 miles for!

If you can get to see these guys, do it. You won't be disappointed but you will be if you don't go and all your mates tell you what you've missed.

I think the band truly appreciated the fantastic feedback they received from the audience. If they come back next year, I'll be there!

I know its been quite a while since the gig in Birmingham on this reunion tour, but it was the single greatest day of my life, and the best gig I have ever been to! I just havent been able to get the fantastic memories out of my head - my dad and me moshing in the crowd, and my mate running away because he got beer spilt on him! truly fanstastic, and after the show I met James and Spider and got there autographs - I even got shanes! great night - anyone else go to the brummy gig?

Yeah I was there. Was totally class. I would say that even if somehow the Beatles came bac and did a gig that night, I would have still rather been in Brum watchin the Pogues. Total class.
