Isn't the reporting getting a bit slack, though? I didn't read "hellraiser" in there, and not one person mentioned that the poor band had to make up for Shane disappearing every three songs or so? Drunken journalists again.

That's because it's only drunken bloggers so far. Journos haven't yet got up. ;)

Ah, I overlooked this, there has been some serious reporting after all:

12 December 2006
SHANE'S NOT SMASHED
Showbiz Liz & Beverley Lyons
THE Pogues, who are in Glasgow as part of their UK tour, had to have singer Shane MacGowan's hotel room specially adapted.

Staff at The Malmaison hotel were ordered to remove anything breakable in his room to prevent Shane from causing any damage.

An insider said: "Last time he stayed there he caused £250 worth of damage.

"The funniest thing is he couldn't even remember doing it. This time we're taking no chances."

250,- pounds is a disappointingly low amount, isn't it? ( I just realised that my keyboard does not have a pound-key  )

Of coz he can't remember, it's hard to remember something you never did. They hang on him all damages caused during the year. Shane's presence is kind of blessing for a hotel, Christmas present...

I am finding it increasingly difficult not to look at the setlist.. in fact i'm pratically shaking with excitment.. well perhaps not shaking but I have a huge smile on my face about it all.

Good job I have patience isn't it?

:D :D

Accurate of Shane's condition or not, I now cannot wait for the B'ham gig even more.

Went last year because I'd heard A few songs off If I Should Fall From The Grace Of God - and fancied a laugh

this time around I've fallen headfirst into them, I can't wait to go as a fan instead of someone briefly aquainted with their music... :D

Tom Jones has women throwing their knickers at him, the Pogues have men throwing string vests (I kid you not). Thanks for all the free clothes, you nutters, several Pogues-built snowmen will be snug this winter. Same set tonight, by the way.
