It's 'cause he's an arlecchino now, and his avatar must reflect his new title.

Pretentious, moi? Mais non!

I thought it'd make a nice badge fer the F.I.A.C.H Agency field operatives. Like a harlequins chest. Or something. And at least it doesn't make my tail look so big...

Nice review and pics. but were you really expecting a "messy 5 song set"? Its well documented that the Pogues care too much about their fans to short change them like that.

What song did the Pogues come on stage to? I had never heard it...they played it over the sound system & when ended, Pogues came on? Am desperate to find this song.

That was 'Straight to Hell' by the Clash. It's on Combat Rock. One of my favorite Clash songs!

YOU MADE MY DAY

Post Mon Mar 20, 2006 8:45 pm

...I have never seen the Pogues but went to the concert w/my husband, who is a huge fan (his father emigrated from Ireland, so big deal to my husband). I very much enjoyed the show but there was something about this song -- & then seeing them, after all they've been thru -- it was an interesting choice.

Thank you so much for replying.

No problem...and I definitely agree, the song worked perfectly on a few levels as the intro...

Thanks all for visiting the site. I don't know how to post pics here, but feel free to steal 'em and post 'em, etc.

I did expect a short show only because it was st paddy's day and a) expected a super obnoxious and drunk crowd that the times square venue security would call a halt to or b) shane would be so nackered that he wouldn't make it past five songs.

Two questions

Post Tue Mar 21, 2006 8:56 pm

What song is "OMD" on the set list & where can I find a mp3 of "Star of County Down"? It is not on my version of Peace & Love.
