Also, I couldn't get a good shot of it - but I believe his fly was down most of the show.

I remember one gig back in the 80's where I got to the very very front and noticed Shane with his fly open. He later was playing an unplugged electric guitar -- it was a Squire Strat. I wonder if he knew it was unplugged.

Yeah, sorry... but it usually works after trying a few times. Watch out for the St. Paddy's thread, I'll post some more there, better quality.

First let me say that this was the first and only Pogues gig I've ever been to. And it was damn great. But I wonder if these same people who are saying that "Shane sounds great" were hearing the same dude that I heard on Thursday. I guess I'm too used to the records where he actually does sound phenomenal. But at the gig he kept mixing up verses and then singing the same one twice and so on and so forth. And as far as I could hear he was way off key most of the time.

Don't get me wrong, they are one of my favorite bands and I count myself as fortunate to have seen them at all, I never thought it would happen, but it was painfully obvious that their heyday has long since passed.

Also, the girl who I sat next to (who had to witness me snoring through the opening act, Jameson's fault not mine!) we were in the first row in the center section next to the right aisle, God bless you. You are a sweetheart and you really made the gig for me. Thanks for the offer of a place to stay and for the drinks! But curses to you for having a boyfriend! :wink:
