THEY PLAYED BOYS FROM THE COUNTY HELL! I was afraid it wouldn't make an appearance, but I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite Pogues song ever.

I was not there, but I do envy you all... County Hell is my favorite I think. And that foot was pretty damn cool, I agree. I'm going out this weekend to buy WEW's latest.

I waited ten years or more for this show. ANd every second of every hour of every day I waited was paid for tenfold. The ska band I could do without, but the gentleman with the banjo was very impressive. And was it just me or was shane wearing dentures? Just curious.

All in all
a great way to spend my Birthday.

P.S.-Whoever the British gentleman was that's from NJ that I was standing next to. Thanks for a good conversation and cheers to next year.

WEW plays banjo, sings, and while sitting on a stool, stomps his foot and it sounds like a bass drum. Its hypnotic. And the simplicity of a man in jeans and a plain t-shirt, with a light on him, singing soulful songs, thumping his foot on the stage floor is sublime. All you thousands who went to the shows and decided to blow it off missed out on something beautiful.

Does anyone know what time the Pogues actually hit the stage?
I'd be nothing without baseball.

I met Mr. Hunt in DC on 3/10, also having been pleasantly surprised to have received an orange bracelet thing that allowed entrance to an after-show thing.

I can report that Mr. Hunt is also a lovely person. I also met some of Mr. Chevron's friends, who were lovely. Lots o' loveliness among the Pogues and their inner circle.

That all depends. Do you mean when Shane falls down and hits his head on the stage floor?

LMFAO!

I had my camera in my hand at the ready for their entire set waiting for Shane to either fall, spew, or both - but he kept his shit together and only knocked down the mic stand a couple of times.

Also, I couldn't get a good shot of it - but I believe his fly was down most of the show.

I dug the foot as well :-) I talked with him after the show and found him to be one of the nicest guys ever.
