At least I don't have to repack. hehe

It's so interesting how different a show is when you're up front compared to in the back. In DC I was up in the DJ booth all night, and in AC I was up front. Totally different shows.

I can't wait for NYC though. REALLY excited.

Hey, george --

Did you meet up with any Medusans in DC? I didn't see a soul I recognized from the exchange of physical descriptions or from the photos posted to the gallery.

Only one, Paul from DC. Great guy.
I was sitting at the very end of the bar at DC9 before the show. Paul was great to chat with. Then ended up seeing him in the lobby of the Borgata in AC the next day. And I'm sorry Paul but your quote is so funny I have to share.

"Hey Paul! Wow, you're a little drunk, huh?"
"Yeah" he says and nods
Pauses and shakes head
"No, I'm a lot drunk"

Heh.

Apparently EricV and his wife saw me, but I didn't see them. They were upstairs and I was downstairs. Mrdarcey and his (name unknown) girlfriend were right behind me, and we spoke a little, but didn't exchange names, aliases or anything. I didn't realize that they were Medusans until mrdarcey posted his post-show comments and when he described where they were standing, I realized that I'd seen 'em, spoken with 'em, etc.

I had faux cherry blossoms in hand, thinking I'd pass 'em or toss 'em onto the stage, but I never found the "perfect" moment, and ended up having to present 'em after the show.

I may have seen you Georgecat if you were somewhere near the rail, upstairs, in the center, you know, near the upstairs bar (nat actually at the bar). I vaguely remember seeing a tallish slender very-red head up around there, but didn't blurt out "Georgecat?!" or "My name is MacRua. Etc..." I was at full sail by that time, so it probably would have come out badly. Anyway, I agree. Seeing it up close, though a little jostled, was way way better than seeing it from the balcony. And I can honestly say seeing the show was far better than seeing it drunk. The things we do for art....

hahaha yeah that was probably me. I like the upstairs bar. I was kinda away from everyone in the DJ booth and coat check booth area but had to venue into the masses to get booze.

   Thanks, and I'm now blushing! And I remember seeing you at the Borgata! Don't quite remember my quote, though! Not that I have the slightest doubt that I made it. I'll trust your memory much before I trust my own of that night! (I do remember the Pogues though, and that's the important part! :D )

Have a safe trip back to CA!

-Paul!

Hey all. It's been a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally long day, so I'll reply to the other messages later. Until then, I did take the time to edit my pics from Mar. 9. Check them out. I'll try to knock out the Mar. 10 photos this week. If it's not this week, it'll definitely be next weekend.

Honestly, I think the pics from Mar. 10 are better. Not that these are terrible, but I felt more comfortable and had a better feel for how the band acted on stage. That (and a wider lens!) led to better photos, but the ones I've posted are just fine.

Enjoy!

OhNoYoko-

Sweet pics! More for my personal computer collection from that night. I'm so glad others had cameras that night. I wished I would have brought one, but you all covered it- yay!
Cheers!

I want a proper camera *sulks in a corner*

The Orpheum site is saying there are 2 opening acts and the show starts at 7:30 PM. A 9PM start for the Pogues seems pretty tight. Can anyone confirm this set time as the Orpheum allows no drinking inside and I'd rather not have to wait around in the lobby paying overpriced drink prices longer than I have to.

The Orpheum is a strict Union house. The show must finish by 11 pm.
