the point

The POINT rocked like blazes tonight, a fitting end to a great tour. Ronnie Drew and Shane invented a new dance onstage and Aisling Bowyer presented a scary and fascinating predatory take on FoNY. Later in the the dressing room, Shane and I were talking to her legendary Dad, the great Brendan Bowyer. "She tried to upstage me", Shane told Mr Bowyer, "it must run in the family". Other dressing room visitors included JP Donleavy. I still haven't decided who it was the biggest thrill to meet - Mr Bowyer or Mr Donleavy!

Once again, thanks everybody. Let's do it again soon. 8)

Haha yeah that was so funny! Shane and Ronnie wanted to dance but the look in their eyes said something: "what will the people think"

Anyway I had a FUCKING GREAT time. I was totally upfront and had spent hours waiting outside (if I'd just known people wouldnt'be there that early I'd have been to the pub but when I was there I didnt'see anyone except for some locals)

Highlights for me were Sayonara and the look on everyone's face when everyone was playing something different and Shane throwing the birthday cake on the floor :D

Thank you Pogues for the best night of my life!

Ps. I made a recording of the show and I'll try to improve the sound quality and upload it to the ftp

Mr Chevron. Thanks again for a great night. The Ronnie/Shane dance routine was something else. I've been watching it over and over all morning. Even funnier was the look on Shane's face when Ronnie kept "forgetting" his lines.

Of the shows I saw, I thought the Dublin one was by far the best for the reasons listed plus many others too numerous to mention.
