Aren't you a bit early? :?
I thought only professional hacks were allowed to write reviews BEFORE the shows.

I just checked the Brixton Academy site and there are tickets on sale for all three shows, both standing and seated.

Great show last night, the band and Shane were in top form and seemed to really enjoy themselfs on stage.
The only "new old" songs were Sayonara and Sunnyside. Shane looked really good and pretty healthy.Seemed also happy up on stage, and joinin in on the fun with the fake snowball fights.
Many thanks to Mr C, for saying hello to me (alex) before 1000's sailing.
He also got into the music dancing around, likewish with Spider and James.
Phil,also loved the hat!
James once again was jumpin around with his massive accordion and destroyed another pair of good trousers to make sure his tailor's got enough work about the holidays.
Highlight of the night was the Pogues to restart Sickbed once again. The first time it seemed like Andrews mic didn't work and the band couldn't hear him countin in after intro. Maybe Mr C can shed more light on this?
Jem's daughter Ella did an excellent job on fairytale,Shane was checkin her out when she was movin side to side.Put a smile on his face.
Before the band sayin good night, Terry thanked the audience for makin "old" men very happy.lol
Thank you Pogues for making two young men happy lol

We got afew pics, but alot come out bad cause of gettin nocked from the mad crowd.
Also a big thank you to James, true gent!
We both didn't like the support act, they made only awfull noise, the sound was badly mixed.

Well thats it for now, more later.
All the best
Alex & Dave

P.S. A Big shout out to Christine, Susanne and her hubby, plus Oyvind. The first round tonight is on me (alex) 8) :D 8)

Fan fucking tastic.
Very painful, however. Managed to get front row spaces, but had to move backwards quickly, because of some bastards thinking it's funny to rugby scrimmage, and crush everyone as badly as possbble. Oh well, it was still amazing.
I loved James lying down, and playing the accordion on his back.
And the numerous "this is the last one!".
I was soaked by the end of the night-a mixture of sweat, bottles water, saliva, and beer, which people had a tendency to half drink, then lauch into the air!

Brilliant night yesterday! The Pogues are still the only party in town, really. All of them did a predictably fantastic job, special mention to Ella Finer who not only sang so well but managed to keep a waltz-dizzy Shane from falling over. Shane looked pale but was in very good voice.

Lovely to meet Dave and Alex, Sheva, Miss Walshy, Oyvind, Carlos. See you all again tonight. Someone PMed me here but AOL won't let me pick it up, sorry.

Hello Dave Sutherland!

If you want to know who they were and the times they lived in read"

Ernie O Malley's " On another man's wound "

" and heres to the boys of Kilmichael
