Found Johan and Mats at the Brazenhead Tuesday before the show, and Sheva and Carmen after last night's. I'm still processing it all. Glaswegians really know how to party!

Nice meeting you as well, just recovered from the 13th in Glasgow.
Thank you Pogues for a great night and thank you Philip for dedicating Thousands for us fans.

what a great night in glasgow carling academy. the longest queue i’ve ever seen outside. ages later a first look at the venue. what a nice building. great place for a brilliant party.

and the party started when the dropkick murphys went on. they delivered a high voltage rock’n’roll show. all the good old rock’n’roll posings and high pressure busting out of the pa. a good selection of their best songs and the best trad covers they do.

after a lot of “roadie-running-on-and-off” the pogues went on. what a noise the people in the academy produced. off they went. streams of whiskey. the band in brilliant form. the mac with an utterly beautiful pair of sunglasses and posing like nobody else can pose. sometime off-rhythm but…hey…this is a show with the one and only shane macgowan, right ?! rainy night was very touching, 1000s was very beautiful as well and when jem’s daughter came on stage to sing kirsty’s part everybody was smashed. she did a very good job and you could see how proud jem was. he looked flattered on stage and later at the bar with a glass of wine in his hand…

just one last question: what the hell did james think when he got hit by the mac’s beer tray ?? he looked absolutely stunned…

hope the pogues make it to germany soon…hope this thing goes on and on with the band and their friends having a great time…and good luck for fairytale storming up the charts…

2 shows at Carlington Academy
First one on Tuesday was nearly an disaster
Shane was NOT in good form and the band it seems didn't care
This was probably the worst show with the Pogues I've have ever seen.
Next show on wednesday was a fantastic show, one of the best shows I've seen with the Pogues. very close to the second night at Brixton last year.
Shane in topform the band in good spirit and a fantastic audience could you ask for more:-)

It's a pity that they couldn't get any nice merchandise to this tour.
The "Pirates" did sell a lot of t-shirts outside Carlington just because of that

Nice to see that they are filming this years tour.
And I hope that they have a lot of cameras at Brixton and film all 3 shows so the fans can buy a nice documentary about this tour around St. Patrick's Day next year:-)

Last year I tried really hard to convince Mr. Chevron about the good idea to film 2004 reunion tour. Have a camerateam that follows the band all the way from the first rehearsal to the concert at the Point.
Nice to see that they do it this year instead:-)
Then they'll take you to Cloughprior and shove you in the ground. But you'll stick your head back out and shout "We'll have another round"

Hi Robin
I did see the merch stand but in my opinion it sucked.
Not so nice things, the Pirates had better stuff outside.
It was the same history last year, not so good merchandice.
I could gladly pay 25 pounds for a Really nice T-shirt
If I was a member of the band I would have suggest that they should print som T-shirts with some CD-covers or If they had a name of the tour they could design a shirt out of that.
I would have loved a black T-shirt size XXL with "Rum Sodomy ..." on the front. On the back the tourdates and a nice photo of the band from last years tour
Cheerrss!!
