Somebody sum up for me: what songs did they play that we didn't get on the reunion tour?

None. "Billy's Bones", "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" and "London You're A Lady" were all discussed, but we never found a chance to rehearse them.

Philip I'm begging! PLease include those tracks in upcoming shows! I remember back in the 80s when Shane would have grown men wiping a tear from their eyes with his singing on Matilda. London You're is another fav ... and Billys Bones I never heard you play that live.

Ah, wish I could have been there...I'd give anything to see the guys, especially after reading the reviews! Not much chance of a US show, I know, but a girl can still hope...

Just sorry I couldn't get there. :(
Tried to recreate it by sitting in the garden, listening to the live CD, drinking Guinness and getting the neighbours to jump up and down a lot, but I guess it wasn't the same.

guilfest sound

Post Wed Jul 20, 2005 9:38 am

One thing I noticed was if you stood at the front middle in the mosh you couldn't hear Shane's singing on the loud and fast numbers, but if you dropped back ten yards it was fine. I've noticed this at other gigs too both indoors and outdoors. Any sound engineers out there that can explain :?

BTW trivia: some will remember Shane and the Popes headlined Guilfest circa 98, missed that one ...
