Hi Phil !
So what do you think about this summer tour ? Was any gig better than the others and will there be defintely no other shows in 2011 ? I always save some holiday for the trip to Dublin round christmas for the Pogues gig...

It was one of our best tours ever. We all had the best time. Zagreb was special because it was a first visit and by definition, you only get that particular atmosphere once in any new town. But as for 2011..............That's all Folks!

Philip, can you give us any hints about next year (pertaining to the band, I'm not expecting you to go all Nostrodamus on us)? Is there anything special planned for The Pogues thirtieth anniversary year? I think it is traditionally pearls for a thirtieth, how about some pearls of wisdom?

As ever, only the Medusa knows. When she tells us, you'll know ten minutes later. If she's wearing pearls, I'm leaving the band. And I mean it this time.

No more Pogues plans whatever for 2011.
Zuzana, DZM: Perhaps a FAQ?

Done.
But will there be more questions about the Christmas tour or about the Pogues coming to the USA / Australia / Canada? Without any doubt.

You forget about questions for the Germany-Tour 2012, Zuzana

I have heard it said that Shane will be joining The Dubliners in 2012 for their 50th anniversary tour, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to go to one of the UK dates. If that is the case and Shane is due to be at all of their gigs then it could well leave a very limited amount of time for when the Pogues would be able to perform together as a group, since The Dubliners annual tours are usually pretty extensive. I guess with regards to next year we'll just have to wait and see as far as The Pogues are concerned. They're good lads though so I have faith that they will deliver us something good at some point, it just probably doesn't warrant too much in the way of speculation at this point.

Hi ive been missing for a few months but just thought id jump on line and saw this thread. Hopefully there will be more Pogues stuff happening next year and onwards but if not I can honestly say that the last ten years since the reunion have been better than before they split up. I dont know why that is maybe its because of this site and the chance to share with other fans and the fact that I have got to meet the band on a couple of occaisons and also seeing them in New York this year (sorry im still going on about my once in a lifetime trip to the states). Thanks for everything

I will have to expand it to a short reflection of the past 12 months. Since travelling to Luxembourg last year I have also visited, Munster, Amsterdam, Dublin, Manchester, London, NYC, Amsterdam, Antwerp and London to see the AMAZING Pogues 15 times. The prompt to get off my arse this year was more the announcement of last years farewell xmas tour. We spent a long long time without Pogues live gigs - and I needed a top up ....just in case !!! But The Pogues have given 10 more years after we thought we would never see them live again - Like RICHB says and I agree - The Pogues live since reunion has been more exciting than it was originally. I have had a laugh and got pissed with new friends , gone to some new places and seen alot of brilliant live music VIVA THE POGUES
