What a brilliant night!
Just came back from the Killesberg where Shane and the guys were performing.
1h45m best entertainment and classic Pogues music.

Maybe someone can help me with the setlist, cause I am not sure about the order:

Streams of whiskey
If I should fall from grace with god
Waltzing Matilda
Pair of brown eyes
Dirty old town
Sally MaLennane
Fiesta
Bottle of smoke
Rainy night in Soho
Tuesday morning
Repeal of the licensing law
London girl
Thousands are sailing
A pair of brown eyes
Broad majestic Shannon
Body of an American
The sickbed of Cuchulainn
The Irish rover
Poor Paddy

Thats all I remember.

I was just missing "Turkish song of the damned" and "Sayonara" but I guess it is not possible to fulfill everybodys wishes.

So thanks a lot boys, its been a great evening again.

Hey Guys!!

It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I´m coming home right NOW! Hole night no sleep, and all the time Pogues-Songs in my head!

The gig took one and half an hour...pretty short, but Shane couldn´t perform much longer i guess...so the start was pretty crazy: normally the beginning was fixed for 8 o´clock...the band was there, but Shane came down the steps beside the stage at this time  and he was fuckin drunk...like you know him...just fuckin drunk, the hole gig he was fighting with not falling down, lost his mic two times, sat down during instrumental parts of some songs for having a smoke and drink...it was lovely!! Just as everyone expected 8)

However, it was a great gig with all the olde songs i wanted to hear...last one in second encore was "Fiesta"...!!

Just amazing...i´m happy and now go to sleep...at 9 o´clock in the morning

It ended about 10 o´clock, but like i said before: you never know the time of beginning exactly ´cause of Shanes delay

@Bud: No Turkish Song played, and damn god no Boys from County Hell

But lots lots of all the other great songs!

I´m still totally flashed! :D

Hi there,

I was there in Stuttgart yesterday. I am not sure if Shane was drunk or just ill from drinking all the years. Perhaps both drunk and ill. However - compared with some of the recordings on the box set or with some interviews he sang really really clearly, he knew the words, he didn't fall. I was really surprised how well he sang. I would have never expected this. Not just that he is back on stage at all, he is a good singer again. The music was great as I expected it to be but Shane's singing was the cherry on top of a cream cake as we say in Germany, almost Hell's ditch level. Go there and listen - really really impressive. My first Pogues gig ever after having known them for 23 years and it was all worth driving 400 km.

Hi,
for that concert I was travelling from Berlin to Stuttgart by plane. Just after arrival at Stuttgart Airport on Monday evening I couldn´t believe my eyes as I met Spider Stacy, Andrew Ranken, Daryl Hunt and the maestro James Fearnley at the arrival gate. Damn that I didn´t ask for a photo. The concert on Tuesday was terrific. Compared to Berlin and Brixton Shane and the band were top as they used to be. The atmosphere at Stuttgart was very friendly, no problem to get near as possible to the stage. Great concert!!! Great show! All the best for the Pogues!
Cheers
