How strange? I suddenly had a thought on lunch I wonder if anyone ever responded back and said hi from Wales and there you are. That is by far the strangest thing that has happened to me!!!! Well this week anyway. What a fantastic City

I can't believe it's been 6 years since these gigs. Thought they may have been lost to the either. Glad to see the posts survived.

Just having a look through the old medusa forum out of boredom. Doesnt seem to be a lot happening on here these days. Came accross this post though. The trip to New York in 2011 was one of my lifetime highlights (from Liverpool to New York). How generous Mr Cheveron was for arranging tickets and backstage passed for us as well (I cheekly asked and he replied saying 'In this life if you dont ask you dont get'. He offered me the pick of the nights and although I would have prefered St Patricks Night as my partner isnt a huge fan (I know go figure) I decided on the night we arrived so we wouldnt be arranging our trip around a gig that I wanted to go to. We flew into New York about lunch time after no sleep for two days and hit our hotel about two. My partner retired for a few hours sleep but I was too wired and wandered around various boozers like some sort of Scouse Crocodile Dundee "Alright I'm Richard I'm in New York for a couple of days. Boss in here isnt it?" Which mostly resulted in people politely smilling and grunting then turning around and carrying on their conversations. Eventually got back and woke my partner up and we headed of to Hells Kitchen (think thats where the venue is isnt it?) and the tickets and VIP bands were awaiting us. The VIP area wasnt anything special but there were stools to sit on and tables to put your drinks on which for an all standing venue was pretty cool. It took me two trips to the bar for me to remember to tip the barman so gave him ten bucks the second time which he tried to give me back saying it was unnecessary. On the third occaison he gave me our drinks for free. The concernt was fantastic and seem to recall meeting New Jersey Rich and a lovely guy from Wales. My parter fell asleep on the table during the end and we missed the last song as we were absolutely nackered and wanted to be on my toes in a strange city. The Pogues were brilliant that night. For some reason I remember looking forward to the support but he came accross as a complete asshole (cant even remember who it was now). I still use the saying 'If its not on the list it dont exist' even now as does my partner from time to time (so it cant have be completey wasted on her). Great times and a great city.

Or Clinton.
Hell’s Kitchen is great. I’m too lazy to go to Lower East Side, so...
