that's fantastic! Shane on harmonica! You can tell that, even late in the night, after a full gig, he's still in good shape!

Great clip kmurry....I'm still a little groggy and foggy from last night but I think it says in the beginning it was filmed on the 14th.

As others have posted here - BEST SHOW EVER -
Image

Philip looked very snappy with a green carnation in his lapel - lots of kilt spinning.
Shane was right in time with everyone, didn't notice any miscues all night, he and Spider had a lot of back and forth banter. 'Boat Train' and 'Matilda" are wonderful additions to the setlist. The several time changes in 'Boat Train' were flawless.
As always - the entire band looked to be enjoying themselves immensely. We were over in front of Terry and Philip, so I didn't see too much of Jem and Darryl. Jem was his usual rock solid self - the banjo anchored most songs.
James' athletic accordion moves always impress me. He's a machine 8)
Terry handed me a pick after the set, which was very cool. Thanks Terry!
A band of true professionals at the top of their game - thank you, gentlemen, for another memorable evening :D

Met Carmen up by the rail, she mentioned that she had met some other Medusans as well. Hope to see some of you on Thursday night! We were at St Andrews early, but headed out at about 6.
A big hello to Dr Laura, and Dave from Scranton - my new best friends
Crowd was enthusiastic, but not too many sloppy drunks, which was great. I only hope the green-hatted frat boys get lost on their way from Times Square on Thursday

Finally registered after haunting the boards for a long while!

Was up front at the show last night, had a ball. Will be going tonight and tomorrow night, as well!

I'm going to be good and sore for quite a few days, I think.

This is not the sort of "sycophancy" I expect on here.

Had a great time last night, fabulous setlist, echo all comments about Shane's and the band's overall fitness. Not to trash the venue -- which has some nice attributes, particularly the bars and a very clean sound system -- but I think it was Philip who said they keep going farther west every time and will be on the West River next.

Leaving aside the possibility that means they will in fact be back after this year, that Terminal 5 block is isolated, and there were some arrests I noticed involving plainclothes cops and the ambient smell of reefer near the corner of 56th and 11th. If you are so inclined, please be on your guard. They may also have been trying to enforce scalping laws (I don't know this for sure) -- scalpers were as busy as outside the Garden on Knicks' games. I opted to eat an unused ticket to avoid risk. The friskers are, erm, very thorough as well.

Inside, the floor area is narrower than Roseland with much of the crowd on second and third tiers, and there are obstructed areas along the floor where pillars stand. It's definitely a place where some planning on where to stand is useful. Second floor looked like it would be OK but only if you are standing or sitting on the rail. Peace! Oh and if the guy I accidentally bumped when I couldn't help but hop during the chorus of Thousands, who then moaned "not cool" but seemed to accept my apology, wants to contact me, I'd be happy to reimburse for the beer. I'll know you by your sweatshirt.

The quality of sycophancy varies from day to day. Sorry about that. I'll see if I can get some kind of self-governing sycophancy engine in place so that we can get a more standardized result. :)

It was only later that I remembered there is no "West River", there's only the East River and the Hudson.

Philip ,
I'll personally start the campaign to rename the Hudson River "West River" if you guys promise to make another round back this way next year. It's worth the attempt.
