Great show tonight, thanks to all concerned! Thousands was brilliant, and I really loved the "new" ones - very happy to hear Waltzing, although I am particularly fond of Old Main Drag which it replaced. And the brass section seems to get more prominent each time (with a little march added to Fiesta), I hope they keep it for all future "farewell" shows. Pity that Shane is in the dark most of the time but it looked as if he enjoyed himself.

Last night was absolutely brilliant. Shane was on great form and he was pretty much spot on with his lyrics. When Spider and Phillip Chevron took over things almost got better - it was a great performance all round.

The highlight of the night for me was Phil Chevron saying something along the lines of this not necessarily being the last tour but just the "first farewell tour!" God I hope this means that the gang carry on for years to come. The atmosphere in Brixton was amazing and the crowd were fully enthralled despite many I am sure never seing The Pogues before. It was great seeing the guys working at the event even dancing along the side of the venue. It shows how good The Pogues still are as I am sure they are rarely entertained like they were last night very often.

Since 2001 (a reasonably young Pogues fanatic) I have been to at least one Pogues concert a year and for a few of those years Popes concerts on St Patrick's day and a Pogues St Patrick's day gig in NYC in 2007. Every year since then they seem to go up a level. Macgowan for me last night was fantastic - it was great to see him in the form he was in and for him to sing justice to the many great Pongues songs.

See you Wendesday night too!

Thanks for the reports, it sounds so awesome, I'm sat in my flat in Oxfordshire shouting "MELT!" out of my window. People think I'm insane but I don't care, it's for The Pogues! SO excited for tomorrow!

Well, they kept on doing "re-union" shows for years so who knows?

Someone told me that they were late on stage last night. Is this right or was their sense of time affected by fluid intake?
