We do not have a curfew though.

Total agree! It is nothing new to wait an hour or sometimes more....cannot understand what to complain about!!!

Good call. Sounds like you missed a good show.....The trouble with righteous indignation is that it can tend to make you feel (eventually) like a bit of a dick.

MacGowan a Diva  Are you f**king serious, the rest of the band maybe

I think what got to people was the fact the support band went off at 8.20 so it was 1 and 1/2 hours before The Pogues came on. Like I said in an earlier post, well worth the wait and the lads did apologies as soon as they came on stage.

Wait was disappointing looking back on the gigg, but such is life.

the pogues were on flying form on Tuesday, it was a really enjoyable gig. the muscles are still sore from all the jumping. I was at the show in the olympia on the previous thursday which was so disappointing, so I was a bit concerned that it was doing to be a similar experience (ie shane not able to stand or sit). I was really glad to see that the dublin show was a one-off and not a sign of things to come. Looking forward to many pogues gigs in the future. Hope its not farewell Mr. Chevron!

To those at Newcastle that were 'disappointed' that we waited an hour for the band (Shane) read the discussion on Dublin gig on the 9th to find out just how lucky we were to get Shane upright and on cracking form!

FWIW I thought the show was absolutely brilliant :D
