Was at the Newcastle gig like i do everytime they are here and have to say the band were tight and well on form.Even Shane seemed to know where he was.What i find unforgivable though is the band not coming on stage till nearly ten o clock.Sorry but that simply isnt good enough for the thousands of paying punters who have certain expectations and who have public transport and work in the morning to contend with.I find it disrespectful and was really pissed off......even the crowd were booing and i saw many people leave after a couple of numbers.Yeah ill probably get shit for this but no one is above critisism

The Pogues eventually came on stage about 55 minutes after they were due on so the crowd was starting to get a bit restless. It would have been nice if the venue had told people what was happening as I guess most were starting to fear the worst.

When they did come on it was another superb show with Shane very sober and not even needing a couple of songs to get into flow. All i noticed him do wrong all night was miss a couple of cues and invent 1 or 2 more to keep the rest of the band on their toes. I guess the setlist was a little shorter than normal due to the late start but they still played for 1.5 hours. I think the set list was as below. I even enjoyed the support band

I was there as well and agree with you. Whayt also pissed me off was the fact that they ran out of all large and extra large T shirts. Bad organisation. This is the first Pogues night in years that I never managed to get a tour shirt. Sad

I happen to agree with you completely, and I hope you will take it up with Mr MacGowan the next time you see him.

Better late than never, they were awesome, maybe the boys will come back for a special night to make up for a couple of missed tracks from thr tour setlist,, they came on late ish, the geordie crowd were a wee restless ,, but hey thats us, footbaal and all that.. Not too worry , a supurb night despite running out of tour t shirts,, Cheers Mr C, ,, hope the crowd didnt spoil it for you

On the contrary, I hope we didn't spoil it too much for the crowd. I detest unpunctuality. It sends one message and one message only: "My time is more valuable than yours, even when you are paying for mine".

One question Phillip, is this actually a farewell tour? I didn't get my tickets in the post so missed Glasgow, would hate to think I've missed the last ever glasgow show!

One show hammered and drunk to hell, one show too late. That gives me the impression, that Shane doesn't care very much, and that is never a good sign. Maybe he spent too much time on Lanzarote with a band nobody wants to see.

Now we all know (to an extent) what we are getting with Shane, yet after being told a stage time of "ten to nine-ish" by security, we entered about 8.40 to get a pint. 9pm came and went, as did 9.30, and the band finally arrived around 9.50.

My initial thought, after seeing the setlist had been reprinted, was "they've got a lot to do to impress me, and I want as much for my £30 as everywhere else has had".

55 minutes in, and knowing the curfew was approaching, I still felt we lost a lot by the late start. However, two encores later, I soon looked back and realised what a volume of songs they'd got through.

Mulled it over with a pint or two afterwards, and felt that we'd been treated to a fantastic gig with full value for money.

I, and countless others, needed lots of winning over at 9.50 tonight. By 11.20, nobody left unhappy.

Well done boys, fantastic. Cracking night.

First time in a few years that I have managed to get to see the Pogues.

Put simply, gig was fantastic. The wait was not.

I agree worth the wait but a bit of info would have helped. Afterwards the craic was about how good the band were not how long we had to wait.

Woah, that late start must have been annoying. They were twenty minutes late at Glasgow and I was getting anxious since I needed to get the last train back to Stirling that night, but fortunately I was able to stay for the full show and still make it back alright and it was still an awesome gig. It's a shame that this tour has caused a certain amount of discontent amongst the fans given that it is supposedly their last UK one. Not wishing to criticise too much, I still think that they're fantastic and gave me gr8 value for money.
