Lullaby replaced Kitty, Old main drag replaced Waltzing, Irish rover replaced Yeah yeah yeah ....

Shane was the best I've ever seen him. Relatively sober and really with it. Someone threw a full pint at Terry & hit him on the shoulder. He wasn't impressed !! "If I find out the cunt who threw that pint at me I'm going to come down there and break you're fucking neck". I thought Andrew didn't look well at all. Seemed short of breath.

Well, I would be pretty disappointed if ..'Waltzing Matilda' is missing from the Glasgow setlist but hey ho. Even better if they did the version with the instrumental at the start --thinking Xmas 85 or 86 tours--don't know what the piece of music was called (Mr C?). - last great version I heard was sung by Barney Mckenna at a Dubs gig in Glasgow at height of Iraq conflict. Would take Kitty over Lullaby and anything over Yeahx5 and Metropolis :) ..as long as Shane is in good nick it's gonna be another great one--last year's is going to be hard to beat!

If you could possibly imagine a barn with a storm taking place in it. you would be close to the mark

Yeh Killarney was brilliant well worth everything - money, travel, lack of sleep, all those browny points I'll have to pay back to the old girl for letting me go - so please boys keep 'dragging your weary, freezing carcasses around these drowning islands every December', we're not going to get tried of it - you bring too many people too much pleasure - see you in Birmingham - Thanks

Strictly speaking, it's a Flying Circus from the early days of aviation, but the term was also appropriated by Vaudeville around that time to designate a roaring success. The INEC, in its former incarnation, is part of a long-dead Irish Dancehall tradition, which must be why the term seemed apt to me.

Although I work in aviation, I have never heard of it, but thanks Phil for that information !
