Im not winding you up or nothing but i went to the 8th and had a great nite. Everytime iv seen him with the pogues hes been grand! Different story when iv seen the popes! 4times. 1 good show, the rest he was a disaster. You just have to expect that sumtimes. Thats the risk you take.

I was also there both nights in Dublin. Wed night was great, both Shane and the band.
I was bit put off by the second show on the 9th. With Shane being totally wasted.
But the band was still great. Maybe they should have played without Shane. Spider and Mr Chevron did a great job on the vocals.

does terry ever do vocals anymore? he did star of the county down for a couple of years there. is young ned... ever performed anymore? and what about streets of sorrow/ birmingham 6? or is that a bit too controversial? one last question, it is terry who sings jesse james on rum sodomy and the lash, isn't it?

Andrew Ranken, who drums, sang that on record and live.

That's a Spider Stacy vocal performance.

Terry used to sing Young Ned of the Hill live.

I seem to remember reading somewhere on these pages some time ago that Terry no longer sings for health reasons, his doctor has advised him to rest his voice.

I also recall Philip mentioning on this forum that Streets of Sorrow/Birmingham Six is no longer included as part of the set ever since the Six were freed, the song having now achieved its aims.

I would love to hear Young Ned played live. I wonder if either Spider or Phil can do it justice if Terry can no longer sing.
