A great night in Amsterdam by the way for everyone in the audience and on stage!

Great Pogues show indeed, maybe a bit short (approx 90 minutes, I think), but all in all a great set. Shane was stumblin a bit and came in late a few times during "If I should fall", but otherwise he was on great form, as were the rest of The Pogues. Mr Fearnley came sliding back on stage on his knees for the second encore. And I loved Spiders introduction to "Repeal", saying "If anyonre cares, it´s called `Repeal of the licensing laws´... if not, forget what I just said". :D

And I particularly loved the location, Münster castle just behind the stage. And though there were a lot of people around, there was always enough space ... and the drinks supplly was mostly quite swift.

Mr Irish Bastard were good as the first support. But I and the rest of our "crew" thought the Aggro-Lites as the second support were awful and not fitting at all, kind of (dub)reggae (?) with the addition of a Doors-like organ. Almost predictably, the only time the heavens opened for a few minutes was during their set. (And as far as I could see they did not get too much applause)

Much fun for those who will attend any of the other summer Pogues shows, enjoy the gigs !

I think it was a huge mistake to let the Aggrolites play on a concert/festival like this, they might even be good (if you like this "dirty reggae", how they called it), but they don't fit to bands like Mr. Irish bastard and The Pogues.

Shall I put a scan of Mr Chevron's setlist on here? (it has got an original footprint :D )

a great night, a great venue and a great gig indeed,

to dedicate a song to Hitler seemed a bit off the mark,
I felt, but ALL GRAND otherwise

Loved it...

Mr. Irish Bastard did a great job..."5 people pogo action", but it was fun...

Aggrolites didn't really fit...and then...

Heaven on earth!! Was my first Pogues concert...adrenaline at its best...

Thanks for all the pictures from the show...

don't remember,
but it raised more than just a few eyebrows around me,
and on stage too, if I saw correctly,
and rightly so !!
