did you study journalism? Sounds like the typical gig review.
Yes, it is scarcely noticed that at various points in the show, myself, Darryl, Terry and sometimes Andrew and James also leave the stage to get bladdered, to take Class A drugs, to exhaust the groupies.............or merely just to answer a minor call of nature, all the more frequent in advancing age, I regret to say. But unlike Shane, we don't have our own private tent, guarded by angels, in which to indulge in debauchery. Jem and Spider have more continent dispositions.

I don't know how things usually go at shows... sorry folks!
RE Monsieur Chevron, "Call of nature" it may be but every time Shane Reappeared onstage, as did a full tray of drinks.
I just want to know how he gets to the bar and back so quick
Fr. McGreer wrote:Shane has always taken a back seat at certain times during gigs, from way back in the day. During instrumental numbers i can remember him sitting on the drum riser, minding his own buisness having a drink and a ciggy while the the lads played away.
Since the reunion gigs started in 2001, Philip Chevron took over the vocal duties for his song, Thousands Are Sailing. Jem Finer wrote a fantastic tune, Metropolis, and this is now a highlight for me. Spider belts out his thumpers, Tuesday Morning and Repeal and the lads let Andrew out from behind the skins occasionally for trad tune The Star of the County Down.
That's five times he's redundant. When Terry sings (wish he'd do Ned this tour) Shane will be twiddling his thumbs six times during a gig.
The Pogues are eight people

Well there you go. You learn something new everyday. '89 to '94 my hazzy, fuzzy phase
