Yes. Although I did indeed dedicate 1000s to Wilbur Harrison, it was in fact the Rodgers-Hammerstein "Kansas City" I sang to the bewildered crowd.
Ev'rythin's up to date in Kansas City
They've gone about as fur as they c'n go!
They got a big theayter they call a burley queue.
Fer fifty cents you c'n see a dandy show
Shane's earlier attempt to give the Wilbur Harrison song was interrupted by the intro to "Streams of Whiskey"

Is that what Shane was singing after Fiesta? Also, I had to look Mr. Harrison up on Wikipedia and he is shown as Wilbert. Did I mishear or did you call him Wilbur at the the show?

I ran into Darryl by the box office. He was pleasant as always and seemed to be enjoying his new job responsibility as official Pogues fan greeter. Always great to hear The Call Up and Straight To Hell before the boys take the stage. As I posted above, the set list was the same as Denver. It was great to hear Young Ned of the Hill as I had not heard it live since San Francisco 2007 also Star of the County Down which was missing in Atlanta this year. Kitty may have been the highlight for me this evening as Shane's vocals sounded very strong to this untrained ear. As I mentioned on the "quotes" thread Shane fell down while leaving the stage for Repeal and made a joke about it when he returned for the next song. He seemed unscathed. Philip came out front during Repeal to try and get the crowd motivated which seemed a bit tame for most of the evening from our vantage point. I'm not sure which wrist Philip injured by repetitive motion (insert joke here) as he never seemed to miss a beat this evening. 1000's was dedicated to Wilbur Harrison who had a number 1 hit in 1959 with the song Kansas City which Philip sang a few bars of. Some one tossed a hat up on stage which looked like the mad hatter top that Shane was wearing in 2007 which Spider picked up, tried on, then put it on Darryl. I saw Joey wearing it near the end of the show. After Fiesta Shane stayed on stage and was singing something that I could not quite make out but he seemed to be having a grand time.
Really enjoyed myself as did the entire Cadillac family. Next stop Austin.
