Graham Parker & The Rumour's "Hey Lord, Don't Ask Me Questions" has been in my head for days now. Don't know quite how it got there.

It'll be even more stuck now I've found it on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7NlS-f2 ... L&index=36

Great song though. 8)

And contagious. Thank you FH. Good job I like it. It's shifted Enjoy Yourself by the Specials but probably only for 10 mins

Hmm, Enjoy Yourself is now battling to shift Don't Ask Me Questions out of mine. This could run and run...

When The Specials run riot in my head, it's usually Too Much Too Young or Ghost Town.
On the days when it's Ghost Town in there, inside my head is like the Craggy Island disco.

Enjoy Yourself 2 - Hey Lord 1

It wasn't even a game of two halves.

2nd leg: Hey Lord 2 - Enjoy Yourself 1
Hey Lord won 5-4 on penalties.

Hey Lord will now be meeting the winner of the local derby Ghost Town v. Too Much Too Young in the final.

"Reggae Got Soul" along with my little six year old imitating the back up singers dance moves. When I saw Toots in Boulder, CO many years ago either one or both of the girls were his daughters. I tried to find out who is now singing with him and could not find any info on the internet. Anyone know?
And I don't want no grave
Just throw my ashes in the field
And hope there's some soul left to save

According to the Maytals' Myspace page, the current line-up is as follows:
Toots Hibbert-Lead Vocals Leba Thomas-Backup Vocal Marie "Twiggi" Gitten- Backup Vocal Paul Douglas- Percussion Carl Harvey- Lead Guitar Jackie Jackson- Bass Radcliffe "Dougie" Bryan- Rhythm Guitar Charles "The Bulge" Farquarson- Keyboard Norris "Computer" Webb- Keyboard

Haven't seen them myself for a couple of years now. But would love to see them again...

Oh, and Leba Thomas is indeed, I think, Toots' daughter.

Ditch Digger by 16 horsepower

Yes, I went on down for to see my true love
She is the only girl that I will speak of
Yup I dug on down for to see my girl
To free her from the devil's world
More whiskey
And fresh horses for the men!

I woke up this morning with My Affair by Kirsty MacColl stuck firmly in my head.

The last few weeks, it has been Fly Me To The Moon thanks to my neighbour (out the back) who randomly sings at odd times of the day (think she does amateur dramatics or something). Her husband randomly sings too, it's quite amusing, they sing to each other sometimes, funnily enough there not that good, they sound like rejects off The X Factor.
