Ride, captain ride upon your mystery ship
Be amazed at the friends you have here on your trip
Ride captain ride upon your mystery ship
On your way to a world that others might have missed

"Sweet Caroline", because of the clever COVID-19 meme that is making the rounds...

Neil Diamond: Hands
CDC: Yes, wash them for at least 20 seconds
Neil Diamond: Touching hands
CDC: No, please don’t touch hands
Neil Diamond: Reaching out
CDC: Avoid that too
Neil Diamond: Touching me
CDC: Oh hell
Neil Diamond: TOUCHING YOU
CDC: We’re doomed

New York, New York, a helluva town.
The Bronx is up, but the Battery's down.
The people ride in a hole in the groun'.
New York, New York, it's a helluva town!

My friend's got a girlfriend
Man he hates that bitch
He tells me every day
He says "man I really gotta lose my chick
In the worst kind of way”

Ah 1998.

I saw McGoldrick, McCusker & Doyle live in Bury last night. The did a magnificent version of a sea shanty I hadn't heard before.
Today I have Fall Down Billy O'shea stuck in my head on permanent play. Aaargh!

I was supposed to be seeing them in Cambridge last week, or maybe the week before. But ended up in hospital just over two weeks ago after some kind of major crash in sodium levels. The NHS appears basically to have saved my life. Patched, up, back home yesterday, and recuperating slowly. Bloody hell.

Good lord. So glad you're recovering and back home. Be well, friend.
