Here's one of my bands, the Heggs, playing night before last. We were opening a local fundraiser (for a film version of my mom's book!)
and eschewed the stage, choosing instead to play in the audience, which ended up being a genuinely good move. Besides striking a populist stance, we shared the music directly with the audience. The headliners had PA problems, but we were only using one mic so we sounded fine.

This is the Carter Family classic "Working On A Building" with new lyrics by Ma Hegg (Sue Hipple).

Well, I wouldn't consider it the weird part of YouTube...

Looking at Under Milk Wood led to Dean Martin Roasts featuring Bob Newhart ---> The Frank Sinatra Show ---> JFK campaign stuff.

An example of the amazing music which oozes out of every inch of Clarksdale MS during Juke Joint Festival - Robert "Wolfman" Belfour (born September 11, 1940, Red Banks, Mississippi) performing "Pushing My Luck" with Roz Wilcox, a.k.a. Mississippi Rose Lee, at the Cathead Mini-Fest on April 15, 2012.

Reaction from one student:

“I was thinking, ‘This is not going a good direction...’ Then he [Savage] started going off about the Bible. He said somehow the Bible was pro-slavery. I’m really shy. I’m not really someone to, like, stir up anything. But all of a sudden I just blurted out, ‘That’s bull!’ ”

The most extraordinary thing about the Biblical, about those who profess belief in the Bible is that barely any of them have read it.
