IMO, the loss of Mr. Chevron is a major reason. I would guess a good number of posts were generated by board members asking questions that only he could answer.
Add in his theatre reviews, and that is a good chunk. No touring in the US may have dampened the enthusiasm for US fans. Maybe FB is stealing away the more casual fan. I was surprised there weren't more "reviews" posted for the Maestro's book tour.

With Phillip gone, maybe it is time to reach out to other members of the Pogues to see if they would visit the raft on a semi-regular basis? I know Spider has his Twitter and James and Jem have an online presence, but maybe they could do Q&A's once in awhile. Just a thought...

Baby moose survives after being expelled by mother hit by car
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/ ... -1.2647384

The mother was killed, the force of impact knocking the baby - still in amniotic sac - out, but it has survived! Check out the picture of the car... you do NOT want to run into a moose!

I think that's a pretty accurate summary. Most of the message boards I know of are far emptier than they used to be before the intertubes got dominated by facespace and its ilk. Even I eventually got tempted into tweetworld.

Mr Fearnley used to make reasonably regular appearances on Medusa, but that must be a long time ago now. Mr Stacey used to post from time to time, but again that's a while ago now.

But yes, we all miss Mr Chevron in so many ways.

[Thanks for the stuff on turntables, Low D. I must get around to doing something about making those artefacts properly playable again.]

I was in line at a discount store today, thinking that the lady ahead of me looked familiar, but unable to place her.
Turns out she was a bitch-ass Grandma/Mom from Teen Mom 2.

And it most certainly should. When is the Golden Gate ever that clear? When? WHEN?

Other than October of course.

Thanks for the hint - I didn't recognize 'em.

Connection - DD's "View to a Kill" and the bridge. Was that what the pic was for/from?

Duran Duran in San Francisco July 1982 for their show at the Kabuki Theater

Three years before Grace Jones and Christopher Walken triumphed in that Bond movie. They were so funny.

Nobody got nuttin to say?

I'm mad to see Scotland vote YES to independence just to see the Tories reaction and the Sky News overkill. What would the new Union Jack look like? I think it still has the cross of St. Patrick in it....... Whats that all about?

I spent a good five minutes earlier today poking the corners of the raft to make sure nothing was broken. Imagine my surprise when I realized that, nope, nothing broken. Just nobody with anything to say.

I must admit I'm a bit sad Scotland chose to remain in the UK, although being Canadian I'm not affected. Still, an 84% turnout: in these days of dissafected low voter turnouts, that's a victory of its own.

Sorry that Scotland seems to have missed its chance. Though at the same time sort of glad that they haven't abandoned the rest of us down here to unending Tory rule.

And yes, I'd've liked to have seen the new flag too. With, hopefully, a bit of Welshness about it, as whoever designed the original seems to have forgotten about them.

Whether Scotland decided to stay in the Union or go it alone is irrelevant. You guys down south WILL be in a permanent state of Toryness. If the Welsh and Scots now set up their own parliaments and Westminster becomes the English parliament then Labour will never win a general election without the votes from those two devolved countries.

Cameron (having earlier failed to get through parliament a bill gerrymandering constituencies to create a guaranteed perpetual Tory majority) is already attempting to turn the referendum (in which he was saved by Gordon Brown, for feck's sake) into an excuse to fiddle with the constitution to the Tories' advantage.

What with that and the extreme right lurking in the form of UKIP, we would indeed appear to be screwed. And the Labour party is still currently useless. Abandon hope...
