According to the figure on the Forums index page, Medusa's membership numbers have reached 3994.
With an upcoming London gig, is the raft's crew about to reach the 4000 mark?

Up to 3997 this morning. We should have a party when we reach 4000. And there should be a prize.

I shall get youngest daughter on to it immediately. She's the one with a real talent for cakes.

Well Medusa now has, according to the forum index page, 4001 members. Ye Medusans all deserve a celebration.

Owing to lack of concentration on these things, I missed seeing who exactly is the 4000th member. But welcome to whoever it is, and they are probably entitled to the usual prize.

By the "still in the system" count Number 4000 would be Mol18 ( memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=4311 ). As you can see from their UID, though, they are the 4311th user to actually register.

The ACTUAL 4000th registrant was Cannibalshymn ( memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=4000 ).

For some reason I've never been able to do that "seeing the UID" thing. I'm guessing it may be a Mac/Safari issue. Congratulations to either Cannibalshymn or Mol18 then. Or both. You get the usual prize. If anyone can find it.

Very enviable that Eric Clapton owns a Gerhard Richter to start with, and then he goes and sells it for 21 million pounds?!

Another pole one? He's in the Hobbit too, right?

The shirt is a real Colbert one, yay. Never got one at the taping because they don't sell shit in Hell's Kitchen. :)
I only have a Late Show with David Letterman shirt because I was getting one for my nephew and was jealous to pieces.

I got to the bottom of Frances' post before I realised that John Lydon is probably not in The Hobbit. I find myself disappointed. I was working out the best role for him already.

I feel he could rock a role as the voice of a troll when they're trying to decide how best to prepare the dwarves for eating, or the voice of one of the spiders in Mirkwood.

Probably the highlight of my school stage career was as one of the Mirkwood spiders in a production of The Hobbit. So there's an established history of shameless overacting in this role. You're right, Johnny would indeed rock it.
