London Calling now more like a version of "My Kind of Town"? So says the Olympics.

I used to work "stuffing" the Los Angeles Times with ads, and further "stuffing" those into other Times' sections. On Sundays, the papers were almost a thousand pages of news, advertising, and lifestyle/interest content. They were dense in every sense.

The latest Sunday Times I received had 312 pages, and the thought of the earlier behemoth editions (classified-ad Jubilee week was dreaded) I used to toss around made me smile.

I've been looking up Old-fashioned insults to call my friends to confuse them. Here's a link to some good ones if anyone's interested:

my favorites are jubbernowl, trollybags swillbelly and slummock.

The Shakespearean Insulter can be good for a laugh as well

I worked maybe two weeks at one too. I recall some old dude asking me to carry out a 50 pound bag of Rock Salt to his car and my derisevly telling him no. That did not get me fired at all; I quit, am big on quitting!

I love the Safeway on High Street Kensington, is it gone? Waah!

They're all gone in the UK. Safeway was bought out by Morrisons a few years ago.

The barman says: "Sorry, we don't serve Neutrinos." A Neutrino walks into a bar.

How many hipsters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Ahh...probably some obscure number you've never heard of.

Kenny Kramer doesn't seem to be a hipster, in real life. Though living in the same Hell's Kitchen building as Tennessee Williams and chatting to him at the pool is freaking amazing. KKKramer:actor, on the other hand, can suck it. I was watching some Dave Chappelle stand up(?) the other night, and his take on KKKramer is pretty funny.

Tried this one at work, during a discussion of the event. *I* thought it was funny...

My nephew, who i'm staying with in London, has been up to Leeds doing a gig..so i've been stuck in all night on my own...couldn't be doing with the travelling about on buses and he's miles from a tube..but i'm delighted cos i've just been watching two foxes prowling the street!
