You poor thing! I'll bet you're really freaked now when you plunge your hands into the scrub? I've heard if you put bark down around the perimeter of your fence/garden that snakes will not pass through.
Snakes and sharks are my very worst nightmare and I've swum and walked with both - unintentionally, of course.

Hope all is well, cagliostro. And hopefully kmurray will have a sexy scar too (on your finger?) and you too, old barney. What's with all the sick Medusans? Here's a Q&A with Lee Scratch Perry to cheer you up:

Could they figure what kind of a snake?

Sorry, yeah, all was well. They didn't even bother calling me up to tell the results. I waited over a month and gave them a ring and found out I had nothing to worry about. Last month I went in to the dentist for my 6 month teeth cleaning who found something odd in my mouth. She said she wanted to see me in a month, so I asked what the concern was. After a few beats, she said that it could impede my breathing if it gets bigger, but I felt there was more to it (thinking throat cancer). Well, I tried not to get myself worked up about it, and mostly succeeded, and when I went in, she said that everything looked fine. So whatever. Damn I hate getting old. And here I am bitching about my medical (non)issues.

Just on hold on the phone to the landlords, and they have me listening to the theme tune from The Simpsons. Which is a strange choice.

Unless maybe they are in fact watching The Simpsons in the office and they're not going to answer the phone till it's finished.

Yes, I was much more careful this past weekend; and I have a new set of leather gloves. I definitely have a healthy respect for snakes now.
It turns out my neighbor killed a copperhead snake that was sunning itself on his driveway the next day. Hopefully it was the same one. I am looking around for some kind of snake repellent or something.

Thy couldn't or maybe didn't try; but I am pretty sure it was a copperhead. Our area is lousy with copperheads and there is little else in the way of poisonous snakes. Copperheads are more likely to bite than other snakes as well.

No respect

I'm in a Safeway right now (think "Tesco"). The piped-in music is The Clash, Should I Stay or Should I Go.

When did I become old?

You mean, when did Safeway become so cool?

Maybe. Though if Safeway had become super cool then they'd have been playing Lost in The Supermarket.

Maybe that was "in the first set" before you arrived.
