Thank you my ichthyoidal antipodian pal (speaking of which - friends of yours?). The camera has since recovered (in fact less than a week before the March shows).

I love that park. It really is very peaceful.

I strongly recommend against visiting in July. Very hot and sticky then. :)

The Company (All Praise The Company) continues to pay me! I remain employed! So far! w00t!

Whew! Yay! Huge sighs of relief!

We're going through something similar, and thus far I am one of the few who has NOT gotten the dreaded letter saying "your job's being eliminated, start looking elsewhere". In fact, I've gotten a temporary promotion.

I don't know for sure, DzM, but I think being a Pogues fan has something to do with it - our employers feel compelled to honour our extremely good taste.

Damn straight, ma'am. Either that or they're frightened of Phil.

I was in a dentist's chair for an hour and a half today. I had two fillings removed. One of them took additional drilling, and I had another cavity filled. And I had a different tooth capped -- an Empress Crown -- sounds so chic. Anyway.... my jaw is sore as hell and I have not felt as tense about anything in years. What a fucking awful day.

(I do appreciate this thread for odds and ends like this, DzM)

Well if you weren't carrying microfilm in there you wouldn't have to deal with this kind of thing all the time.

Wanna try it with katanas? A bit of the old 'iai-jitsu'? Carzy-assed bushido showdown style? Come on white boy, bring it on...
