No, that's not why he's nuts at all.

R. Crumb & his Cheap Suit Serenaders (with Bob Brozman on guitar, etc)have done some good music too, there's a couple albums, plus a good collection of his various musical endeavours including the CSS. And a couple of collections he's "editied" of the old stuff. Oh yeah, the soundtrack to the documentary, Crumb, is a good collection of the old stuff too.

I´m watching the DVD right now, it´s pretty good stuff. All the musicians are fantastic. And Bruce does great versions of those songs.

Recently I bought the Hayseed Dixie "No sleep til Liverpool" DVD. Hope to get to watch it tomorrow.

Philip, found it at Waltons website. $25 plus shipping to USA. Is this one a "keeper"?

Well, I'm not sure how well it works if you did not grow up on the Walton's sponsored radio show in Ireland in the 60s - the nostalgia factor - but about half the tracks are just undeniably good music. I'd say it's worth having for the Noel Purcell track ["The Dublin Saunter"] alone.

While I didn't make the purchase, I did end up with a copy of Wilco's Sky Blue Sky for Father's Day. Maybe when Molly tires of her Wiggles fascination, I can move her into Uncle Tupelo and work my way up from there.

Excellent album, a group of wonderful musicians. There are some other great performances from that tour around if you can find them too. 8)

Patiently awaiting arrival of the latest 78 treasures..."Your Cheatin' Heart"/ "Kaw Liga" by Hank (GOTTA have THAT one, I figger) and "No Whiskey Blues"/"Nappy Head Woman" by Dr. Clayton's Buddy, aka the great Sunnyland Slim. Crossing my fingers to win "Tomorrow Night" by Lonnie Johnson - I LOVE Dylan's version on "Good As I Been To You" and have never heard the original.
Disclaimer: These are my opinions and not fact as realised in these here United States, lest I give my friends the idea that everyone thinks like me.
