Billy Bragg - box set
Clovers - 7" - Our Our Aika
Greenland Whalefishers - 7" - Punk Shanty
Various Artists - Searching for the Wrong Eyed Jesus - with the mastery of Jim White..

Soul Finger those Kent comps are brilliant as well.. I have most of the early ones on vinyl but gave up after all the cds were issued..

As for Celtic Dave being lovely....

Dance Floor Disaster - Various Artists Kent Vinyl Compilation

Ha-Ha! Worth buying for the title alone !! I'm guessing it's a concept around records that cleared the floor at the time but are recognised for their brilliance nowadays?!
I gotta few Kent albums meself: 'Slow & moody, black & bluesy' , 'Fast, funky & fantastic' etc.

That they are, I need eight now for the full set of 97. I buy the CDs too, the vinyl has just become a bit of a completist thing............

My favorite is probably For Dancers Also.

My interpretation of Disaster is that they are good tracks in themselves but they wouldn't necessarily work for the dancefloor one after the other  I should read Mr Croasdale's sleeve notes to check whether I'm right.

SIDE ONE: Hard Workin' Man - Jack Nitzsche Orchestra Featuring Captain Beefheart / You Can All Do It - Al Hudson & Partners / Blue Moon - Bobby Bland / Shoo Do Fu Fu Ooh! - Lenny Williams / Heartbreaker - B.B. King / Soul Perception - Harold Johnson / Sting Me, Baby - Joann Garrett / YKW - Jackie Verdell
SIDE TWO: Puffin' On Down The Track - Hugh Masekela / Hard Work - John Handy / Screaming Please - Buddy Ace / Choose It (Part 1) - Smoke / Hound Dog - Jeanette Williams / That's Why I'm Always Crying - Junior Parker / Don't Put Me Down (If I'm Brown) - El Chicano / You've Got To Learn - Buster Jones

collectors editions are a record companies ploy to make more money id say. bit like directors cuts in movies. though they may have one or two wee extras
