Please let me know if it´s any good.

Johan, on a first listen to the whole album, I'd say it's pretty fantastic. Loud, dark, dirty, bluesy, rocking. Constructive use of feedback. Mr Cave growing old disgracefully. 8)

If she's a Cave fan, buy it for her, deffo.

Thanks alot my friend, I know you have a great taste for music :D

Have to cheers her up abit, shes home in bed, got the flu :(

Have to surprise her with a new CD and Chineese food

I pre-ordered the new Tossers album, Agony. I can't imagine why the record label is waiting until three days after St. Patrick's Day to release it, but I'm really looking forward to it. And I'm finally getting around to picking up the post-Shane Pogues' releases, starting with the remastered Waiting for Herb.

Dingle Spike - Far From Home SRT8KL1480 Skellig Records

The lp which lists Jack McCarthy , Tom McManamon, Timmy O"Brien & James Nally as listed musicans. Guess that is a typo & should be James McNally who latter went on to become a Pogue on the Pogue Mahone album

I just added a "new" Stanley Brothers 78 to my collection - "Pretty Polly"/"Hey!Hey!Hey!". "Pretty Polly" is a great murder ballad ("Polly, pretty Polly / Your guess is about right / I dug on your grave the better part of last night"), although the verse where he actually kills Polly isn't in this version.

The Stanleys released eleven 78s on Columbia in the early 1950s. I have 4 of them now and MUST have the rest. Why? They are must-haves.

I ordered the Ron Kavana Irish Ways boxset and ripped the packaging off the box the moment it arrived -- only to find that the usually reliable Play.com had sent me a bloody Lemony Snicket audiobook set by mistake!

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible

It took a few listens for me to really get into their last release, Funeral, but this one is catchy right from the get-go. I'm liking it quite a bit.

Very annoying, Shaz, but a tad ironic... it's what one might call an Unfortunate Event, I suppose.

GA, I've just got the new Arcade Fire album too. Think it's good, but I still have to give it a serious listen.
