As am I.

Last evening we heard the Brawlers and the Bawlers. I am soon to embark on the Bastards tunes. I have the day off and the house to myself and am looking forward to all Tom Waits all day long!

The Tossers - Long Dim Road arrived this morning, first of my Amazon order, listening to it now.

Funny thing is the postman managed to squeeze it through my tiny letterbox.

Also I was in HMV today and got:

Woodie Guthrie and Pete Seegar - The First Rays Of Protest In The Twentieth Century.

The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem - 30 Songs of Ireland.

(Yes I finally found the folk section).

i've got a crush on the girl at the record store...

i bought the rufus wainwright dvd 'all i want' which is full of live footage, interviews and music videos. i swear if it wasn't for the girl at the record store, i think i might fall in love with rufus.

bought martha wainwrights album which is fantastic

the new waits collection has been getting a heavy workout, particularly bawlers and bastards.

i also bought mark lanegan's 'bubblegum' which i've been meaning to get for the last couple of years, and which i know all of, but it's still good to finally have it.

(also keep going back to get all the 'curb your enthusiasm' dvds. not music, i know, but i've spread out the purchases so i can go back and see the girl at the record store... i've got all five seasons now, so i'll have to find another series to collect. season three of 'arrested development' comes out here in a couple weeks)

Surely you can be in love with both the girl at the record store and Rufus? :)

Two great purchases you've got there. I love Martha and Rufus both.

Some of the Rufus dvd was filmed at and around a gig I was at. A good friend of one of the firehazard girls features a few times in it.

The The - Hanky Panky

Matt Johnson doing Hank Williams songs in his own inimitable style. I haven't yet made up my mind if this is a combination which works, think it needs a few more listens.

Oh by the way MissWalshy, I promised to say hello to you next time I was here, hello :)

What's the verdict, Shaz? It's on my "been-meaning-to-listen-to" list.

Love the title track! The album reminds me a bit of The White Stripes.

Alas not, I will be working on Saturday afternoon, I only get to a handful of games a season despite living a five minute walk from the hallowed turf of fortress Selhurst.

How is HOL getting on with the BBS's reject? Have you kicked him out yet?

No he still knocking about unfortunatley.

So are you going to any of the pogues gigs this year? I must say it's so great to meet a palace/pogues fan! You are like the male version of me! :)

Michaelo some crackin' albums there... I own all three I believe. :)

Let me know what you think of Razorlight. I wonder if its your cup of tea !

Smoz keep in contact! :)
