And thanks to Amazon, I've now got both of the Wagoneers' CDs, so I can finally replace my used cassettes. And unless a copy of The Bucks' CD ever becomes available, I believe I've gotten all the rare or out-of-print CDs I was searching for.

Do you want the single Cd ? Dancing To The Ceildh band ? I have got that.
I didnt buy it but Amy MacDonalds album is good.
Who are the Wagoneers?

That's the one I'm after. If you've got one available, PM me. :)

The Wagoneers were a Texas quartet who put out two really unappreciated gems in the late '80s. They were kind of halfway between traditional (i.e. good) country music and rockabilly and were pretty big in Austin for a while. The lead singer/songwriter is a guy named Monte Warden who also released a couple of good solo records after the band broke up. I stumbled across some used cassette tapes of the albums years ago and loved them, but I never realized they were actually released on CD until last year.

I never really liked the Cure, but gained newfound respect for him after he helped defeat Mecha-Streisand:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mecha-Streisand
South Park appears in utter peril until Robert Smith of The Cure arrives. He morphs into a giant moth, in the form of Mothra, and is told what to do through a wrist-watch, like Giant Robo. Discovering that Mecha-Streisand's weak spot is the nose, Smith is able to punch the Diamond of Pantheos out of her—using the Robot Punch—thus rendering her powerless. Smith is then able to mega-toss the weakened Mecha-Streisand into outer space, where she explodes. After the fighting subsides, Robert Smith walks off into the sunset while Kyle shouts "Disintegration is the best album ever!"

I am just now seeing this post. I am curious if you have a favorite of Will's recordings?

I've only listened to Ashes To Dust so far. Really enjoyed it. Kellie sent me a nice e-mail. 8)

Yes, she shared your correspondence with me. Thanks for your kind words!

Will would tell you that you should start with Hymns for the Hopeless, as the first three albums tell a story of sorts.

Actually, i jsut signed it out of the library, i didn't buy it. Great stuff, some of it jaw-droppingly great & totally rocking. The roots of rock & rolla re right here... under a lot of blackface.

the postie handed me Mr Love & Justice this morning, I'm about done with the band version and impressed so far, there's no real clunkers although You Make Me Brave is probably the weakest of the love songs Mr Bragg has done for a while. I've always contended that he was better when he was single, but you can't begrudge the bloke a happy loving family just so that he can write another "Saturday Boy".

This arvo I've got Nick Cave's new cd to listen to, can't wait!
I wish I'd done biology for an urge within me wanted to do it then

Flogging Molly - Float

After one listen, I'm liking it. Nothing really jumped out at me the way some of the songs from their last couple of discs did, but the overall impression is that this is a pretty good album.
