Is this the bloke who was in Weddings Parties Anything? I used to really like their stuff and saw them live once in Wolverhampton. But I don't think I've heard Mick T solo, if it's the same one.

The very same. And his solo stuff is every bit as great as the WPA stuff. The Wolves gig wouldnt have been the packed wulfrun hall gig where they supported the soft boys would it? its nice to meet the other audience member :)

  Me and my brother were there! And he discovered he knew WPA's roadie. All very surreal. I seem to remember that one of the Men They Couldn't Hang offshoots also played support. As for the Soft Boys, we lasted three songs then ran for the bar and didn't come back.

I'll look out for Mick T's solo albums -- more to annoy my bank manager

Be careful Sting doesn't make another visit. He may decide it's time to back up all the vinyl he's planted in the past.

Argh, what a terrible thought, Michaelo. But I'll be ready for him next time.

Just be ready to defend your chimneys, people, when he tries to sneak down them at Christmas...

Got this myself the other day Philip - worth the price of admission just for the title track . On first few plays it sounds like she's grown a lot between the last album & this one . She's playing Camden on Tuesday night , i'm tempted to go down and buy a ticket from the touts.
