Rowwen Heze - Rodus en Lucius

It's an album in my dialect and they sound like the Pogues. On this album the best song is 'Shane' :D

It really is time I got some Dusty on cd. Only have the old vinyl at the moment, and I'm so lazy about playing it.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

It's well worth getting, georgecat - the first of the cds, especially, has some real classic tracks. Though the price you quote is expensive... I paid much less for it!

hmm ok thanks. Well that was the itunes price. It was less on amazon but not by a lot....and then when you add shipping....(I'm too lazy to get to an actual record store)
Thanks for the advice!!

I have their Kilomeaters cd which I think is very good. Haven't listened to it in a while but will give it a whirl soon. I have recently received the new Mutiny cd "co-op brewery" and the mahones "Take no prisoners" cds in the mail. So thats what I've been listening to lately.

I just bought "A Blessing And A Curse" by the Drive-By Truckers". I hate it, just fucking hate it when a band is this good and I am late on the bandwagon. Anyway, thanks to Corey for pulling me on.
Did the old songs taunt or cheer you, and did they still make you cry?

Aw shucks, I didn't realise The Byrds were any good until about 1982. By then, I almost had them to myself, so there are compensations............. 8)

Yeah, I didn't truly understand how great the Stanley Brothers were until this year, and Carter died in 1966! Miraculously, Ralph is still kicking, so it wasn't TOO late.

As for the DBTs - I've got buddies who love them, but they always ruin it by comparing them to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Makes me run in the opposite direction. I know that's probably not fair. The only song I've heard was "Carl Perkin's Cadillac" which I was not impressed by...I thought a better song with a similar title was "Joe Stalin's Cadillac" by Camper Van Beethoven.
Disclaimer: These are my opinions and not fact as realised in these here United States, lest I give my friends the idea that everyone thinks like me.
