I was walking by the Olympia last night with a friend and a bloke said selling or buying tickets I said whats on he said Damien Dempsey I look to my friend and he knows I need to see him and said how much for the tickets mate and the fella goes hundred euro. We carried on walking.

Is Walshy fated never to see Damo? The saga goes on...

The Waterboys - Fisherman"s Blues Collectors Edtion

I've got the original CD, what's the difference between this and the Collectors Edition?

collectors editions are a record companies ploy to make more money id say. bit like directors cuts in movies. though they may have one or two wee extras

I've only just noticed this. I know what you mean but Fisherman's Blues is quite rare in that you get a whole free CD extra- 14 tracks (60 mins approx), and the standard is VERY high. They recorded hundreds of songs over a period of a few years for the album and ended up leaving some great stuff off the original.

i didn't know that was ever relased, what do you think of it?

The Million Dollar Session sounds good, they talk a bit between songs, but no sign of JC on that record.

The Class of 55 isn't very recommendable, way too much over-produced in my opinion.

Dead Boys are great, love that album. Does Jello ever do shows with bands? He did spoken word here a bit ago I think but I can't say I really care.
