Gerry Diver's "Speech Project". Like it, but not sure how many times i'll listen to it. Curious to see what my artsy fiddling daughter thinks of it.

THE RADIATORS FROM SPACE Sound City Beat (Chiswick CWK 3022)

Well, I haven't bought it so much as picked up a finished copy from the Ace Records warehouse in Harlesden.

Jamaica All Stars - Right Tracks (2004)

I bought this because it features one of my favorites artists, Justin Hinds. Did not know that the first track was a cover of Revolution Rock by The Clash, which was a pleasant bonus.

Then it won't count toward your platinum record, right?

Country Gazette's 'Don't Give Up Your Day Job', a bargain for just 3 Euro in the Amsterdam Flea Markt, early 70's Bluegrass featuring Byron Berline, ace fiddle player. For some reason the sleeve was printed up as 'Don't Give Up Your Day JOE!' Great LP.

"Blackie & The Rodeo Kings", 1979 LP by Willie P. Bennett, which i've only had in illegally downloaded form.
"The Lucky Ones", 1989 LP. Willie's only release from the 1980s, which i used to own in it's original 1985 self-released cassette form, long since dead, and as iTunes mp4s (for some reason the only album of his currently "legally" available in any format).

And a real interesting find:
"Live from the Nervous Breakdown", a 1979 LP featuring recordings from an all-star night at the Nervous Breakdown club, incl. Willie P. Bennett, Mendelson Joe, Toots Hibbert, Mose Scarlett, Dave Essig and more.

'California Bloodlines' & 'The Lonesome Picker Rides Again', by John Stewart .Arrived in the post yesterday, i have to say that 'California Bloodlines'is nothing short of magnificent, one of the best albums i have heard in along time, released in 1969, long before i was born.'Lonesome Picker' includes 'Daydream Believer' , whatever version i hear,i still associate that tune with 'Cheer up Peter Reid' back when he was managing the Mackems.......Toon Army!
