Furrowed that brow one too many times?

Too soon?

Not according to my heartless co-workers who laughed when i said that - but that's the evil of public servants for you.

He himself must have been well into his 30s by 1995. The whole lot of them, by the end, were a bit of a joke as "young" people - I remember at least one of 'em had a receding hairline.

Listen to his work on that! https://soundcloud.com/theklossessions/ ... ger#t=3:39 (click play)

That's awesome. I love getting that peak behind the scenes and how artists and craftsmen work their trades. Thanks for the link.

That was great, i have actually totally walked away with a lot of respect for this song & band, even their difficult singer :)

In the "Experience Music" part of MoPOP (the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle), they have the separate multi-tracks for Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" loaded up onto a mixing board so you can slide the different parts up & down and here the individual parts & re-mix it (did you know there are three separate keyboard tracks?) "Eye Of The Tiger" would be a similar compelling one to put up, i now think. It's interesting to hear how much is actually going on in these songs that sound so simple.

There’s a lot more songs here: https://soundcloud.com/theklossessions

Particularly surprising (to me) were Skynyrd’s Freebird and Simple Man, just wow, just as much as Queen’s Killer Queen: makes you remember how good they were and makes you forget about that horrible musical-biopic...

American actor Jan-Michael Vincent - best known as the hot-shot pilot, cellist, and quasi-military law enforcer of indeterminate authority "Capt. Stringfellow Hawke" on 80s action tv show "Airwolf" - dead at 73.

For some bizarre reason, I loved The World Greatest Athlete as a kid. Vincent starred as the African Nanu (a Tarzan like young man) who could "outrun a cheetah" Costarred with John Amos and Tim Conway.

He did alright to make it to 73, he lived pretty hard and drove pretty fast!

Drummer Hal Blaine, who played with everybody*, aged 90.

*No really: Elvis’ “Return to Sender,” the Byrds’ “Mr. Tambourine Man,” Barbra Streisand’s “The Way We Were,” the Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations,” dozens of hits produced by Phil Spector, and the theme song to “Batman” fercryinoutloud!

Parents will love this fact:
By age 8, he was already drumming, using a pair of dowels he removed from a seat in the living room.

Another legendary drummer - first wave Vancouver punk Bill Chotobar, better known as Zippy Pinead, who played with Los Popularos, The Dils, DOA, and many more. Dead of a heart attack at 57.

Also, the second major Don died this week, albeit of lead poisoning aka getting shot in front of his family home. Frank Cali, 53, Head of the Gambino Family met his maker in what is called a "disrespectful" hit since it was outside of the home he lived with his wife and kids.

Early rumor is that recently released from prison Gene Gotti, brother of the late John Gotti, was behind the hit and looking to take over the Family.

Part of the reporting on this indicated "a blue pickup truck was seen leaving the scene of the shooting and appeared to intentionally run over the victim." Disrespectful indeed, especially after six shots.
