Sorry for your loss, Fr McGreer.
May he rest in peace. Treasure those memories.

Sad times Niall. It's impossible to understand suicide. Our thoughts are with you and Kenny's family.

my condolences to niall and fr. McGreer.

New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidel died on wednesday. he was on his way home when his plane crashed in to a tower in manhattan killing himself and his instructor. although he was a yankee for only a short time he will be deeply missed. by both his yankee team mates and fans.
my thoughts are with his friends and family.

keep on pitching, mate, keep pitching.

"the great Freddy Fender" as Doug Sahm always introduced him. I learned of his death while getting ready to go onstage on Las Vegas tonight. Ironic, as most of Freddy's Wasted Days and Wasted Nights were spent in Vegas before Doug & Co rescued him and helped him into a new career with the Texas Tornados.

We were visited backstage tonight by Irish showband legend Brendan Bowyer, Las Vegas's first Irish star and lead singer of the fabled Royal Showband, Waterford of "Hucklebuck" fame. Brendan (and his daughter Aisling) made one of the few good covers of "Fairytale Of New York" a few years ago.

That is very sad to hear. While on vacation this week, we have tried to avoid newspapers, news, etc.. A reality check there

Rest in peace the family of five from a small rural community in southeast Iowa, who were murdered in their home night before last: father, mother, three teenaged daughters. The 22 year old son has been charged with the deaths. So, so tragic...
