Lloyd toured until shortly before his death at age 80 - his last show was April 23! After being treated for liver cancer and being told he had only days to live, Lloyd made it back to his home in St. Andrew, Jamaica, to be among his family and friends just hours before his death.

Some things only get better with age. I saw the Skatalites twice in the last few years, and they blew the roof off both times. Knibb joins fellow Skatalites Don Drummond, Jackie Mittoo, Tommy McCook, Roland Alphonso, Jerome 'Jah Jerry' Hinds and Johnny 'Dizzy Johnny' Moore at the great gig in the sky.

And almost exactly a year later, Lloyd Brevett - bass player and other half of the riddim twins - passed away (I only just heard today).

May not have been the greatest Red Sox ever-but one that will live forever every time someone is able to wrap a homerun around the right field foul pole aka "Pesky's Pole" :(

Jeez-the curse of the Sweathogs. First Epstein now Horshak. Plus add all the tragedies and "issues" that John "Vinnie Barbararino" has had.
