An incredibly undervalued actor and raconteur, by the 1990s he was touring in what Americans would call "stock" and what we in the UK would recognise as 2nd Division tours of the Provinces in musty old farces featuring trouserless vicars. RIP.

2 true Welsh heroes gone and a 3rd (Tom Maynard) who could of been one RIP.
Brian Hibbard became a bit of a cult hero here in Welsh speaking communities for playing the non Welsh speaking Dad of children who went to a Welsh speaking secondary school in the Valleys, in a series called Pam fi Duw (Why me God?) and fighting tooth and nail for the language etc. What i was unaware at the time was in real life he did actually send his children to a Welsh language school.
Condolences to all family and friends.

John Curran of Belmont MA and Crosshaven Co Cork

John was a co-host of The Sound of Erin radio program here in Boston with my uncle Bernie McCarthy and a big part of keeping Irish culture alive.

He is the father of Sean Curran who has made a name for himself in NYC/Broadway as a dancer/choreographer.

............and, it is often overlooked, husband to Ethel Merman for all of 38 days in 1965. If that didn't kill him, there was every chance he'd live to be 90.
