I was reading through Wikipedia a while back on the WWF/WWE section and the amount of wrestlers from the late 80’s – early 90’s era (i.e. when I watched it) who have passed away is quite scary.

Just off the top of my head the following are now fighting in the great ring in the sky.

Mr. Perfect
Owen Hart
Yokozuna.
The British Bulldog
Big Boss Man
Andre the Giant
The Texas Tornado
Earthquake
There were loads more of familiar names

I don’t think one of them reached the age of 50 – quite a sobering thought.

Even Gorilla Monsoon has passed away!

didnt know he was dead

Brent Liles, former Social D bassist, dies at age 43

Post Thu Jan 25, 2007 5:45 am

He was hit by a truck while riding his bike. Sad news.
“An’ this is the last of Brummy,” he said, leaning on his spade and looking away over the tops of the ragged gums on the distant range.

What a pointless waste.

My liver. R.I.P.
Slain by Indian food and Kebab between the nights of the 27th and 28th of January. Supposed to have given several damage (occlusion) to one of Luton airport's toilets.
Then they'll take you to Cloughprior
Shove you in the ground
But you'll stick your head back out and shout
"Let's have another round!"

Gump Worsley-NHL Hall of Famer(ice hockey), one of the last goalies to play without a facemask. A real character.

Worsley's physique moved Rangers coach Phil Watson to tell him, "You can't play goal with a beer belly." Worsley shot back: "I'm strictly a rye man."

He didn't look like an athlete and smoked like a chimney between periods, but he was terrific when he put the pads on."

Now that's a great band that's had lots of bad luck in it's day. Longtime guitarist Dennis Danell went from a brain aneurysm in 2000, Mike Ness had his time in jail... sad news. And on a bike, what a nobel, un-rockstarish way to go.

I have to ride home 70 blocks in the fog at 10:15pm tonite...
