Thank you. I meant to mark this and forgot. As she was the only person to appear in movies by both George Formby and Jimmy O'Dea, Miss Driver was of unique interest to my late father, a biographer and theatre historian who wrote about both comics. Betty was a peach. Or a hotpot. Or both.

Oh God no. I'm a huge bike racing fan and travelled to the Spanish and Italian GPs. I just sat down to watch the race and it wasn't on and i didn't know why. So annoyed thinking that EuroSport fucked up the TV schedules. Just logged on here and this is the news i'm faced with.

Can't believe this. He was such a talented rider. Rest in peace Marco.

ITV Screened a tribute to her earlier this year, which focused on alot of her earlier life along with Coronation Street. It really was a remarkable story, first on stage in Manchester in 1928 and still on screens in 2011. Most of its here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh3gHB1n ... re=related

TRAGIC NEWS - Please join me in remembering YET ANOTHER great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Dough Boy died yesterday of a yeast infection and traumatic complications from repeated pokes to the belly. He was 71. Dough Boy is survived by his wife Play Dough, three children, John Dough, Jane Dough, and Dill Dough, plus they had one in the oven. Services were held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

It's taken me a few days to begin to deal with the bereft feelings to a stage to record this, but:

RIP Spooks. Killed off by the BBC after 10 series of gloriously glossy yet loopy MI5 drama.

You will be missed.
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.

Pogues? (as a touring/recording unit)

Don't mean to be a shit-stirer. Merely hoping someone within the Pogues' camp will put the rumors to rest and set the record straight....

Penn State Football- Once thought to be a throwback to traditional values (all about team-no names on jerseys) it looks like Joe Paterno will be joining Bernard Cardinal Law as a poster child for covering up child sexual abuse.

http://espn.go.com/college-football/sto ... id-scandal

Both Joe Paterno coach of PSU Football since 1950 (1966 as Head Coach) and the President of Penn State were fired last night due to their roles in the cover up of the sex abuse scandal. Kudos to the Board of Trustees at Penn State.
