Sky Saxon from the seminal 60's band The Seeds. Sadly missed.

It was probably his best career move, at this point.

Not. He had sold 150,000 tickets for London alone on his upcoming tour, which would have been his first in ten years.

Jesus Christ.

Death doesn't absolve the man of what he's suspected to have done to multiple children.
It seems he may have been as incurable as any other pedophile.
His money and fame only made the situation worse. Allowing it to continue endlessly.

But, his death shocks the system to remembering his more unblemished past.
I grew up watching his Saturday morning cartoon, danced to his records at parties... etc.
You can't play a Jackson Five record around most people without a positive outcome.

The young Michael Jackson was an unbelievable talent and comments like yours are sick and heartless.

I'll grant you that his children are probably going to be much better off in life not being raised by an impaired, suspected pedophile who clearly lacked any instinct regarding positive life and parenting choices. Depending on who else actually attains custody, of course. One just doesn't wake up one morning with the serious issues this man had. Something happens during their formative years to cause it. If you read about his father and accusations about him within the family it paints a truly ugly picture.

Life is a horror for some. Who then go on to harm others. A sick society assists in its occurrence. Nobody should have taken a dime of settlement from him. He should have gone to prison. Who the hell would allow their children to set foot across his doorstep after so many accusations? It was all so sick.

May the boy who sang his ass off RIP. What a terrible life that man had.

I'm simultaneously trying not to laugh and horrified at this comment. Bit gauche, no?

Whatever, I watched Warren Zevon laugh on TV about how great death was gonna be for his own career. MJ's career seemd a bit stalled (stalled for him still being far bigger than most, of course) and now he gets the career boost of an untimely death, and sympathy to boot - something he's been lacking as a public persron (for right or wrong). Kinder public perception & ionevitable boost in record sales? Good career move.

But hey, i've got sympathy for him too. What chance did he ever have of a normal life? I don't know whether or not he should have ever gone to jail, but I'm fairly certain lots of people around him should.: handlers, managers, doctors, his father.... I mean, why is he dead at 50?

Michael Jackson made a lot of money for a lot of people, and ended up broke.

He was an incredible talent, mesmerizing. A new soul, a shooting star, and he burned out quickly.

I choose to remember him on stage.

I can't help but have a somewhat guilty feeling at the relief I feel now that his children may have a chance at a somewhat normal life.

This post is very contradictory......If you believe he was a pedophile, why are you saying RIP?

Jacko turned up at Fulham V Wigan at Craven Cottage in April 99 as a guest of Mohamed Al Fayed; He was paraded round the pitch before kick off to the tune of Thriller blasting out over the loud speakers. It was all rather strange as Fulham V Wigan in those days was a 3rd division fixture.

We lost 2-0 that day, i dont know if he stayed and enjoyed the game or not. I stayed right till the end but I didnt enjoy it.
