Tonight saw RUSH in Minneapolis. These guys still pump out acid rock with a capital A. First saw them in 1978 and have managed to catch a show every 5 years or so. Loved Alex playing the mandolin over the wall of sound and Neil Peart nevers fails to blow me away during his drum solo. No matter if you like their music this tour is worth seeing for the visuals and mastery over their instruments. This Lil RUSH clip with the South Park gang doing a song intro was too funny.

The Gossip... saw them on the telly on one of the recent festivals (can't remember which one it was.....i'm old and frail my body is weak etc ) but they took me back to the original punk beat in the the late 70's early 80's. I thought they were brilliant.

This is really making me giggle...my Sweetheart LOVES Rush (how many girls do you know who are Rush fans?) and is going to see them with her mom later this month. I opted out, since I HATE Rush, and in fact I said that I am going to see TMBG in retaliation. Sort of "an eye for an eye, a geek for a geek."

O'Blivion, how did your Sweetheart like the Rush show? I must say they caught me by surprise and am truly happy I caught this years tour. Enjoyed it way more then the last couple of times I saw them over 10 years ago.
