Holy shit. I love George O'Dowd. :)
He's witty as hell. Just can't handle cocaine psychosis, but then... who can?
only just seen this..they all went backstage after the gig..got a photo on my fridge..my tribe with George, apparently he fell in love immediately with my sister, the nephew's mother, said they are soulmates!

I've met and chatted with Diamond Dave. Seems like a nice enough kinda guy. Born showman. Can't turn it off for a minute, but nice none-the-less.

Stonking gig last night with the awesome Skinny Lister, possibly the best live band currently around these parts.

Good support from Trapper Schoepp and young Derry punks Wood Burning Savages too. 8)

I must try harder to get to see these guys. Great photos.

I got to see Gerry Cinnamon at Dublin's Olympia a few weeks ago. Incredible atmosphere like Pogues gigs years ago. If you get a chance to see him you won't regret it.

By the way, watch BBC4 this Friday 12th at 9pm. Billy Bragg documentary about the influence of Skiffle on future artists.

Got tix to The Specials here at the Commodore Ballroom next month.

Yah, there's only three Specials left in the band, but the new album is great!

Ah lucky you. They're playing Dublin yesterday, today and tomorrow. All sold out and me with no ticket.

Ours was also sold out - one night only! I shamefully paid "authorized re-seller" rates, even though a) i can't afford it, and b) i am fundamentally opposed to all these ticket re-selling shenanigans, whether by shady scalpers or even more shady ticketmaster itself!

They're playing the city where I live in May. I'm normally pretty good at getting tickets as soon as they go on sale, but this one was sold out before I got there. Again.

That'll be Glass Tiger, he guested on their new album.

Also, 11 year old me would have *died* for this show!

I've seen Skinny Lister, Smoove & Turrell, Joe Jackson and The Specials in recent weeks. It's been terrific all in all!

That's an interesting mix. I'm not sure if I'd be enthused for Joe Jackson or not. I've been pretty hot/cold on him over the years. How was that show?
