Me and Mrs Moose attended a Pretenders gig a few weeks back, James Walbourne on guitar, a terrific gig and James is some guitarist.
Hey Moose, not buried yet then!
I'm off to see Skinny Lister in a couple of weeks. In the ongoing absence of the Pogues, my favourite live band.
Is that the double-header tour they're doing with Beans on Toast, SF? I have tickets to see them here early next month.
Yep, they are playing the Ritz in Mcr. I think they are gradually working their way round every live music venue in town. The Ritz is the best they've done so far. Are they on somewhere decent in your neck of the woods?

Cambridge Junction 1 at the start of December. They've played J2, the smaller venue next door, a few times before. Actually J2 is better than J1, but a gig's a gig. And it's less than a mile from firehazard towers.

James Walbourne, great musician and a fine songwriter.Anyone who has not heard of his excellent ''The Hill'' cd should check it out, also there are several albums by Peter Bruntnell in which James performs some fine guitar bits, not forgetting the excellent Rails Australia mini-album.I believe that there is an unreleased album that Spider recorded about 8 or 9 years ago, featuring Mr.Walbourne.Will it ever get released?

Linde Nijland with Bert Ridderbos @ The Musician Leicester on April 19.The Dutch duo are performing Sandy Denny songs to tie in with the 40th anniversary of her death. There are other tributes taking place in Birmingham,London,Byfield in Northamptonshire[where Sandy lived]It would be nice if the Beeb could put out the proposed documentary which was scheduled but never shown.BBC Radio 2,for sure will feature Sandy, somewhere.I'll be looking forward to the Linde and Bert gig next month.
